The First Sightings

The first reported sighting dates back to the early 1900s, when a graveyard worker at Oakwood Cemetery claimed he saw a tall, faceless figure standing perfectly still under a streetlamp—casting no shadow of its own. He turned away for a split second, and when he looked back, the figure was gone.

Over the years, reports started stacking up. People walking home late at night see a dark figure in their peripheral vision—but when they turn, there’s nothing there. Others report waking up to find a shadow standing at the foot of their bed, only to vanish the moment they move. And then there are the ones who never see him at all—but feel him. A cold presence.
